A mob of some 50 Palestinian Muslims stoned a group of Christian tourists atop Jerusalem’s Temple Mount on Sunday morning. Three of the Israeli police officers who acted to protect the Christian group were wounded by the stone-throwers.

Police arrested 11 Palestinians, several of them minors, for their role in the attack.

The attack is believed to have been instigated by the former Muslim mufti of Jerusalem, Ekrama Sabri, who told Palestinian media over the weekend that Jewish groups were planning to break into the mosques that occupy the holy compound and desecrate them.

Sabri urged all local Muslims to protect the mosques from “the Israeli conspiracy against the city and its holy places.”

Muslim religious figures regularly claim that Israel is plotting to destroy the Dome of the Rock and the Al Aqsa Mosque to pave the way for the rebuilding of the Jewish Temple, which the Muslims now insist never previously existed.

Remember last year’s giddy bipartisan enthusiasm over the “Arab Spring”? President Obama claimed that Egyptians merely wanted “a government that is fair and just and responsive,” Senator John McCain asserted that Libyans were aiming for “lasting peace, dignity, and justice,” while Senator Joseph Lieberman wrote in Foreign Affairs that the Arab Spring was a struggle for “democracy, dignity, economic opportunity, and involvement in the modern world.” Every day that passes shows these assessments to be not just delusional, but dangerous to America’s interests and security.

The most recent repudiation of the “democracy delusion” is the arrogant threat made by a member of the Muslim Brothers, who control almost 50% of the new Egyptian parliament, to abrogate their treaty with Israel if the U.S. cuts off $1.5 billion in annual aid over the indictment of 16 American NGO workers, and the detention of 6 of them. In this the Brothers are in accord with the interim military government, whose prime minister Kamal el- Ganzouri told reporters last week that the Egyptians “won’t changecourse because of some aid.”

These are the same Muslim Brothers, remember, anointed as “moderates” and “largely secular” by Obama’s director of intelligence, foreign policy wonks, andNew York Times columnists, an opinion based solely on propaganda and wishful thinking. Ignored are the many mosque sermons that vow to “kill all the Jews,” or that assert, as Muslim Brothers spiritual leader Dr. Ahmed al-Tayeb has, “In order to build Egypt, we must be one. Politics is insufficient. Faith in Allah is the basis for everything.” This advice is seconded by Brothers’ Supreme Guide Muhammad al-Badi’, who finds “a practical role model in Allah’s Messenger, [the Prophet Muhammad] . . . who clarified how to implement the values of the [Koran] and the Sunna at every time and in every place,” and who advises that the “improvement and change that the [Muslim] nation seeks can only be attained through jihad and sacrifice and by raising a jihadi generation that pursues death just as the enemies pursue life.” If you want more specifics about what sort of Egypt the Muslim Brothers will build, consult the speeches of the Brothers’ Grand Mufti Sheik Yusuf al-Qaradawi, who commands a global audience of millions. Qaradawi has approved of suicide bombing, wife-beating, death for homosexuals, support for Hezbollah, and the righteousness of the Holocaust.

Countdown! Iran’s Finger On Nuclear Trigger

Iranian nuclear experts have completed the component for a nuclear bomb trigger, overcoming a major obstacle in obtaining the bomb, according to sources within Iran.

As reported last May, the Iranian nuclear and military industries, under the order of Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, were to weaponize at least two warheads with a nuclear payload no later than next month.

Sources within the Revolutionary Guards reveal that the work on the trigger is taking place covertly under the control of the Guards in the cities of Darkhovin and Isfahan.

Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, the main brain behind the Iranian nuclear bomb program, is guiding the project. Fakhrizadeh reportedly reports directly to Khamenei and is under tight security because of the assassination of other Iranian nuclear scientists.

The Islamic regime has rejected several requests by the International Atomic Energy Agency to interview him. The U.N. nuclear watchdog believes Fakhrizadeh was responsible for the project “111,” which would convert highly enriched uranium into metal for a nuclear warhead and its reentry design.

The IAEA last November indicated that Iran had experimented with firing multiple detonators with a high level of simultaneity. The report also indicated that Iran as early as 2003 began a large-scale experiment to initiate a high-explosive charge in the form of a hemispherical shell. This indicates work on a nuclear bomb.

According to Sepahonline, which is close to the Revolutionary Guards, Iranian nuclear bomb progress is overseen by the supreme leader’s military adviser, Rahim Safavi, a former chief commander of the Guards, and a cleric, Mohsen Ghomi, who has communicated the will of the supreme leader for a speedy completion of the project. These activities are taking place at several secret locations unknown to the IAEA. One location reportedly is in the city of Mobarake, south west of Isfahan.

Peter Vincent Pry, executive director of the newly established Task Force on National and Homeland Security, a congressional advisory board, concludes from IAEA intelligence that Iran’s nuclear weapons program is very advanced.

Darwin’s Birthday to be Celebrated in Church this Sunday: Liberal Christianity Supports Darwinism

What will be the focus of attention in your church this Sunday? For many liberal churches and synagogues, Charles Darwin will have his day of glory in services this weekend. Sunday February 12, Darwin’s birthday, is the centerpiece of the 2012 “Evolution Weekend” event invented by The Clergy Letter Project.

Here is how the National Center for Science Education (NCSE), the leading Darwin-only educational advocacy organization, advertises the annual “Evolution Weekend” and it host organization, The Clergy Letter Project:

The brainchild of Michael Zimmerman, Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Butler University, the Clergy Letter Project was founded in 2004; its activities include a similar letter for Christian clergy, currently endorsed by over 11,000 members [now 13,000] of the clergy across the country and around the world; a pool of scientists willing to work with clergy on promoting scientific literacy; a collection of sermons, articles, readings, and websites relevant to the Clergy Letter Project’s goals; and Evolution Weekend (formerly Evolution Sunday), in which religious leaders are encouraged to discuss the compatibility of faith and science in their sermons, Sabbath or Sunday schools, and discussion groups, on or about Darwin’s birthday….

The Darwinists at the NCSE are delighted to have 13,000 clergy preaching a Darwin-friendly faith. Although Eugenie Scott, NCSE’s Executive Director was awarded the American Humanist Association’s 1998 Isaac Asimov Science Award, she has done her best to appear religiously neutral. To help break down resistance to accepting Darwinism in public schools, Dr. Scott advocates sending students out to “interview their pastors and priests about evolution” (provided that “conservative Christian” viewpoints don’t dominate that particular community, in which case she does not recommend this approach). The NCSE hopes to increase the number of Darwin-friendly places of weekend worship, and thus promotes The Clergy Letter Project and its “Evolution Weekend.”

It’s been said, preached and taught that the “penny” in this verse is implying the amount of an average workers wages for one day. That during the Day of the Lord a piece of bread if available would cost as much as a days wages.

The world’s a scary place. Wars, famines, corrupt politicians, terrorism, imploding economies — the list goes on. There are plenty of issues worth fearing, which is why a subset of the nation is preparing for what they see as impending calamity.

These individuals, dubbed “preppers,” are stocking up on food, guns, water and other items that they may need should the economy erupt or a massive natural disaster strike. With so many possibilities for problematic occurrences, these individuals want to ensure that they can live beyond any tragically defining moments.

Most preppers are fearful of the prospects of no governmental structure — something that some see as a possibility amidst economic woes and political strife. Back in 2009, a Newsweek report described this phenomenon:

In the late 1990s, Y2K fears brought survivalism to the mainstream, only to usher it back out again when disaster didn’t strike. (Suddenly, unused survival gear began showing up in classifieds and on eBay.) A decade later, “preppers” are what you might call survivalism’s Third Wave: regular people with jobs and homes whose are increasingly fearful about the future…

Reuters published a report this weekend, highlighting some of the preppers out there who are stockpiling and awaiting what they see as the inevitable. To begin, there’s Patty Tegeler, a 57-year-old who lives in Virginia’s Appalachian Mountains.

“In an instant, anything can happen,” she said. “And I firmly believe that you have to be prepared.”

Tegeler’s home has essentially been prepared for whatever may come. She has a large generator, water tanks, portable heaters and enough freeze-dried food to lock herself inside and to keep nourished for two years.

Wondering how she secured these items? There’s an entire market that caters to these individuals (most vendors operate on the internet). These companies sell many of the items that Tegeler has in her own home, as they teach skills or sell the products needed to ensure individual and family survival pending disaster.

The Reuters article even mentions Glenn Beck:

Conservative talk radio host Glenn Beck seems to preach preppers’ message when he tells listeners: “It’s never too late to prepare for the end of the world as we know it.”

Additionally, it goes on to further explain the movement:

“With our current dependence on things from the electric grid to the Internet, things that people have absolutely no control over, there is a feeling that a collapse scenario can easily emerge, with a belief that the end is coming, and it is all out of the individual’s control,” [Cathy Gutierrez, an expert on end-times beliefs at Sweet Briar College in Virginia] told Reuters.

While many would dub survivalist behaviors as silly or a waste of time, preppers separate themselves from the likes of Harold Camping and other leaders who have set dates for what they promise to be apocalyptic conclusions to societal existence. Preppers like Tegeler claim that their items won‘t go to waste regardless of whether there’s a collapse or not. For these individuals it’s all about being ready for anything that could unfold.

And there’s plenty of media outlets for these individuals to consume, as they share tips and communicate with one another. Blogs like lawyer Michael T. Snider’s “The Economic Collapse” focus upon the themes surrounding the economy’s potential bust.

“Most people have a gut feeling that something has gone terribly wrong, but that doesn’t mean that they understand what is happening,” Snider said. “A lot of Americans sense that a massive economic storm is coming and they want to be prepared for it.”

“We could see a cascade of higher interest rates, margin calls, stock market collapses, bank runs, currency revaluations, mass street protests, and riots,” he said in an interview with Reuters. “The worst-case end result would be a Third World War, mass inflation, currency collapses, and long term power grid failures.”

Tom Martin launched “American Prepper’s Network” back in 2009 — a daily blog and support network that attracts thousands of individuals each week. The most recent post on the site’s blog reads:

Man-made disasters come in many forms. The most obvious would be spills and contamination caused by deteriorating materials, poor driving, train derailments, pipeline maintenance (or lack thereof), infrastructure collapse, policies that lead to coastal erosion, policies that contribute to widespread forest fires, sub-standard building codes, etc.

There are other potential disasters that can be even more far-reaching. These include, but not limited to, monetary policies, tax codes, currency issues, stock market crashes, credit down grades, recession/depression, inflation/hyper-inflation (alaWeimar republic) and devaluation of a currency. Venezuela, Japan and others have experienced these events.

The list of possibilities is long and growing, but again, the prudent man attempts to prepare. For his family and his continued well-being.

This is only a small lens into the prepper movement, but this is nothing new. Throughout history, subsets of American society have remained ready and prepared for whatever may come. While critics may dub it an over reaction, preppers feel they’re simply being prudent.

Iran ‘definitely’ closing Strait of Hormuz over EU oil embargo

Tensions in the Gulf could reach a breaking point as a senior Iranian official said Iran would “definitely” close the Strait of Hormuz if an EU oil embargo disrupted the export of crude oil.

Mohammad Kossari, deputy head of parliament’s foreign affairs and national security committee, issued the warning in respone to a decision by the European Union on Monday to impose an oil embargo on Iran over the country’s alleged nuclear weapons program.
“The pressure of sanctions is designed to try and make sure that Iran takes seriously our request to come to the table,” EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton said.
However, with Washington’s decision to deploy a second carrier strike group in the Gulf, the EU’s attempt to pressure Iran economically could greatly increase the likelihood of all-out war in the region.
The Strait of Hormuz is the vital link between the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman.
It is also one of the most strategic chokepoints in the world when it comes to oil transit.
With world oil output estimated at some 88 million barrels per day in 2011, the US Energy Information Administration estimated that some 17 million of those barrels passed through the Strait.
If economic sanctions sufficiently pressure Iran to retaliate by closing down the Strait, nearly 20 per cent of worldwide oil trade would be impacted, resulting in a massive spike in global energy costs.
With over half a million regular forces and an additional 120,000 personnel in the country’s elite Revolutionary Guard, analysts believe the consequences of a US-led war against Iran would dwarf recent Western-backed military incursions the Middle East.
Thus far, the US decision to maintain two carrier strike groups in the region has been described as “a routine activity” by Iran.
But the vast US military buildup in the region, which was bolstered when the Pentagon dispatched an additional 15,000 troops to the neighboring nation of Kuwait, was only the latest step in an obvious attempt by Washington to strengthen its military capabilities in the region.
However since 1988, when the United States managed to destroy some 25 per cent of Iran’s larger naval capability during Operation Praying Mantis, Iran has spent the last two decades preparing its Revolutionary Guard naval forces to exploit the vulnerabilities of the United States’ larger conventional forces.
According to Revolutionary Guard commander Brigadier General Jafaari, “The enemy is far more advanced technologically than we are, we have been using what is called asymmetric warfare methods… our forces are now well prepared for it,” he said, as cited by Global Bearings.
Ultimately, the latest round of brinkmanship between Iran and the West may force Iran to the negotiating table over its uranium enrichment program.
However, the EU strategy of averting “chaos in the Middle East” by tightening the economic noose around Iran could spark the very conflagration it was ostensibly trying to avert.

Iran: We’ll Bring the War to Israel, and ‘Beyond’

Iran is preparing its own answers to the string of assassinations of Iranian scientists, a web site identified with President Mahmud Ahmadinejad said Thursday – and those responsible had better start staying awake nights, a senior Iranian official was quoted as saying.

Naming Israel specifically, the Rajah News website said that Israel wasn’t the only country that could undertake long-distance proxy wars. “We too can send our agents to kill people in their sleep,” the site quoted the unnamed official as saying.

“None of those responsible will escape, none of them should feel safe,” the official told the website. “We will take the war beyond the borders of Iran, and beyond the borders of the region.”

Iran Closer to Bomb Than World Realizes?

A report that Iran is about a year away from having the capability to build a nuclear bomb may be too optimistic, contended John Bolton, former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations.

“I worry the publicly available information is giving only a very small picture and that Iran is actually even much further along,” Bolton said today in a radio interview.

Bolton was on “Aaron Klein Investigative Radio” on New York’s WABC Radio. The former ambassador was asked about a statement from a former head of U.N. nuclear inspections claiming Iran is now just a year or so away from having enough enriched uranium to assemble a nuclear bomb.

Olli Heinonen wrote in an article published earlier this week that Iran made this advancement after switching production of its higher-grade enriched uranium to a new, underground site.

Reacting to the one-year timeline, Bolton stated, “I think it can be even less than that.”

Russia: Attack on Tehran is Attack on Moscow

Russia has given Iran its bear hug and warns Israel and the West that an attack on Tehran would be considered an attack on Moscow. The threat heightens the prospect of World War III in the event of a military strike on Iran.

Thousands of US troops began descending on Israel this week. Senior US military sources told DEBKAfile Friday, Jan. 6 that many would be staying up to the end of the year as part of the US-IDF deployment in readiness for a military engagement with Iran and its possible escalation into a regional conflict. They will be joined by a US aircraft carrier. The warplanes on its decks will fly missions with Israeli Air Force jets. The 9,000 US servicemen gathering in Israel in the coming weeks are mostly airmen, missile interceptor teams, marines, seamen, technicians and intelligence officers.

Israel Could Take Out Iran’s Nuclear Infrastructure ‘In Two Days’

Israel could destroy Iran’s nuclear infrastructure with three combat air squadrons, a report said.

A report by a leading aide to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the Israel Air Force could destroy most of Iran’s infrastructure in two days. The report by Yoaz Hendel, a senior adviser to Netanyahu, said air strikes could be augmented by naval operations.

The Israel Air Force deploys an arsenal of munitions, including the U.S.-origin GBU-27 and GBU-28 laser-guided bunker-buster bombs that could penetrate Iranian nuclear facilities. “The Israeli Air Force is capable of striking the necessary targets with two to three full squadrons of fighter-bombers with escorts to shoot down enemy aircraft,” the report titled “Iran’s Nukes and Israel’s Dilemma,” said. “However, most of the escorts will require refueling to strike the necessary targets in Iran. In addition, the Israelis can make use of ballistic missiles and cruise missiles from their Dolphin-class submarines.”

Military Buildup in Persian Gulf Continues

US, Russian French and British air and naval forces streamed to the Syrian and Iranian coasts over the weekend on guard for fresh developments at the two Middle East flashpoints.

The Russian carrier Admiral Kuznetsov anchored earlier than planned at Syria’s Tartus port on the Mediterranean Sunday, Jan. 8, arriving together with the destroyer Admiral Chabanenko and frigate Yaroslav Mudry.

To counter this movement, France consigned an air defense destroyer Forbin to the waters off Tartus.

debkafile’s military sources report a buildup in the last 48 hours of western naval forces opposite Iran in the Persian Gulf and Arabian Sea in readiness for Tehran to carry out its threat to close the Strait of Hormuz.

Britain has dispatched the HMS Daring, a Type 45 destroyer armed with new technology for shooting down missiles, to the Sea of Oman, due to arrive at the same time as the French Charles de Gaulle aircraft carrier.

Our sources report too that Saturday, the giant RQ-4 Global Hawk UAV, took off from the USS Stenning aircraft carrier for surveillance over the coasts of Iran. The Stennis and its strike group are cruising in the Sea of Oman at the entrance to the Strait of Hormuz after Tehran announced it would not be allowed to cross through.

Iran’s 30-year war against the United States may be reaching its decisive moment. Signs of the worsening crisis abound. Iran just announced it has begun enriching uranium at the Fordo underground nuclear site, a key step to producing more quickly fissile material for a nuclear warhead. As Europe moves closer to embargoing Iranian oil, deputy commander of the Revolutionary Guard Ali Ashraf Nouri threatens, “ If enemies block the export of our oil, we won’t allow a drop of oil to pass through the Strait of Hormuz,” through which about one-fifth of the world’s oil passes. In support of this threat, the regime continues to stage war games in the area and to warn American warships from passing through the strait into the Persian Gulf. Meanwhile the U.S. and Israel have announced a joint missile defense exercise, as Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad visits America’s enemies in Latin America, bearding the U.S. lion in its own hemisphere of influence.

No doubt by now everyone’s heard that the “END OF THE WORLD” is near—December 21, 2012, to be exact—according to theories based on a purported ancient Maya prediction and Calendar.

And did the ancient Maya—whose empire peaked between A.D. 250 and 900 in what is now Mexico and Central America—really predict the end of the world in 2012?

At least one aspect of the 2012, end-of-the-world hype is, for some people, all too real: THE FEAR….

Remember the Y2K scare? The fear was there but it came and went without much of a whimper.

Much like Y2K, 2012 has been talked about and in the headlines for years. And now that it has arrived and this is the year, just when will it all be over. Just when will the earth come to it’s final day and reach it’s check-out point and come to a screeching stop….

When one discusses the Last Days or the End of the World or the End of the Age many thoughts, beliefs and opinions arise from all parties involved. Sadly though; When it comes to the truth of what will really occur and how it will all transpire many people and even many Christians have no clue of what the Word of God has to say of how events will unfold with some possible time-line.

Several people, and even some Christians have asked me what I thought of this current news maker the “Mayan calendar prediction, and could 2012 be the end of the World. My answer by the Word of God is a big NO! I’ll give a couple of Scriptures below that will prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that PLANET EARTH CANNOT END IN 2012!

Jesus’ Disciples asked him a question concerning this very topic. Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? Matt. 24:3.

Many subscribers to this blog believe there will be a catching away of Christians before Daniel’s 70th week “7 years” found in Daniel 9, and Revelation chapters 4-19. Some of you believe the catching away will be during the middle of that 7 year period of judgment. Others believe it will happen near the end of the 7 year period of judgment.

My writing is not to debate or argue the time-line of the catching away of believers but to show that there has to be a Daniel’s 70th week “7 years of judgment” that will start with the signing of a false peace plan with Israel and the surrounding Arab Nations by a man who the Bible calls the man of Sin, the wicked one, who John calls the Anti-Christ.

Christians can see by the Word of God: that 2012 cannot be the end of the world like the news media is reporting.

I must stress that: this could be the year that we as Christians hear the Shout that the Bridegroom is coming and we are caught away to be with Jesus during the 7 years of judgment on the earth or Daniels 70th week. Oops… I guess you know now that I am a “Pre-Tribber”.

So we can see by Scriptures that it’s no time to become slack, but to work while it is day for the night will come when no man can work.

Just suppose the 7 year Tribulation/Judgment started next week.

The time of Jacob’s Trouble starts.

The two witnesses will Prophecy for 42 months 3 1/2 years. Revelation 11:3

Middle of the Tribulation.

Power is given unto the Beast to continue for 42 more months 3 1/2 yrs. Revelation 13:5

Jesus returns to earth with the armies of Heaven to deliver the Jews, destroys the beast system, casts the anti-christ and false prophet in the lake of fire, binds Satan and cast him into the bottomless pit for 1000 years. Revelation 19: 11-21, & 20: 3.

While Satan is bound for 1000 years: for the Christians it’s the 7th day of rest, the 1000 years of living and reigning with Christ.

When the 1000 years are over: Satan is released from the prison to go out and deceive the nations for one final battle against Christ and Christians. Revelation 20: 7&8.

Satan is defeated and cast alive into the lake of fire where the beast and the false prophet are. Revelation 20:10.

Then comes the great white throne judgment of the wicked. Revelation 20:11-15.

THEN COMES THE NEW HEAVEN AND THE NEW EARTH…..Revelation 21:1-7.

So we can see from Scriptures that: the Signs that the Prophets and Jesus said to look for will increase on the earth just as a woman in labor, her birth pains increase dramatically.

2012, cannot and will not be the end of the World!

The Magi were WATCHERS…

With December 25th upon us: the day most Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ the Savior of the world it brings to mind many questions of what that historical night was like. The story rings very familiar to nearly everyone of the journey, no room in the inn, the baby in a stable, wrapped in the cloth (swaddling clothes) that was probably the very same material used by shepherds in the process of delivering and inspecting lambs in the fields, angels, shepards and the wise men (sometimes referred to as the three wise men).

How awesome it was that Jesus the Great Shepherd chose to be born among shepherds in Bethlehem where lambs for Priestly Sacrifice were raised!

After hearing various accounts of the wise men (Magi) and their role in the Nativity scene, I begin to personally dig and read from others and the Scriptures and begin to see that; Not only were the Magi not there “the night of Jesus’ birth” but they were WATCHING FOR IT.

The Magi were no doubt more than three, possibly as many as a hundred by some accounts. And they didn’t visit Jesus in the manger. Their visit took place in the fall of the year. Prophetic studies place it around Rosh Hashannah to the Feast of Tabernacles.

Eight days following Jesus’ birth he was circumcised. After forty days they went to Jerusalem, and Mary offered the sin price of two turtledoves. There Jesus was prophesied over by Simeon and Anna declaring him to be the Messiah. Then they returned to Galilee.

“And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him” (Luke 2:39,40).

Notice that through this entire experience, the “three wise men” are not there. They are on their way and their journey starts when they see something extraordinary in the heavens, probably around the time of his birth. When they saw “his star in the east” Matt. 2;2, they came to worship Him and pay tribute to a king. The Magi’s home was in the territory of Persia (today’s Iran).

From the 7th century B. C., they were known to have centered their worship about an altar, which burned some sort of “eternal flame.” They apparently saw God as a fiery reality, and the heavenly host of stars and planets.

Here’s where it gets interesting: Thanks to a historical encounter with the Jews in captivity, the ancient Magi had become extremely close to Jewish worship and prophecy. Daniel lived among them as a respected spiritual authority. It looks as though Daniel’s writings were not only read by the Magi, but handed down. His last recorded vision took place in the third year of the reign of Cyrus (536 B. C.) and dealt with the angelic battle between Michael and the Prince of Persia.

Later: after Daniel’s death, he was buried in the territory of Persia. Soon, the captivity of the Jews ended and they returned to Israel. But Daniel’s work and spiritual influence intersected the lives of the Magi. Through him, they knew of the coming Messiah. The ninth chapter talks of both Christ and the antichrist.

The Magi had tremendous influence and were the kingmakers of the ancient world. Consider the effect they must have had when they entered Jerusalem. Picture the horses, the armed cavalry, attendants, cooks, soldiers, wagons and servants as they traveled for months and months to just get there.

“Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him. When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him. And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born. And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the prophet, And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel. Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men, inquired of them diligently what time the star appeared” (Matt 2:1-7). This took place over a year after the birth of Jesus, probably in the month of December.

The Magi possessed power to make and break monarchies and Herod knew it. Herod no doubt was near hysteria by this time worrying of his own possible loss of power and wealth.

Herod meets with the Temple authorities who quoted from Micah and Genesis, naming Bethlehem as the place of the Messiah’s birth. Then in a secret meeting with the Magi, Herod told them to go there and find him. Note that these men from the East were not afraid of Herod’s forces or the Roman army.

(Matt 2:8-12).

The Magi leave Jerusalem for Bethlehem not a stable or an inn. They arrive at a house, where the young Jesus is now about 15 months old.

Bowing before a King (Jesus), they honor Him with gold, (symbol of the wealth and purity of the Davidic Kingdom). They paid tribute to Him with frankincense, (the priestly Temple offering). They prophesied of His sacrifice with myrrh, (the spice of death and burial).

We really don’t know what else they did while there….A dream from God guides them safely home.

In these Last Days that we live, I find it interesting that Jesus’ first coming was prophesied by the prophets of old. Also interesting is the fact that the Magi were watching but the Jews were not….He came unto His own but His own received Him not…

I also find it interesting that Jesus’ second coming was prophesied by the prophets of old as well as Jesus Himself. Let us as the Church be watchers for the signs that signal His soon appearing!

Is a giant, cloaked spaceship orbiting aroundMercury? That’s been the speculation from some corners after a camera onboard NASA’s STEREO spacecraft caught a wave of electronically charged material shooting out from the sun and hitting Mercury.

Theorists have seized on the images captured from the “coronal mass ejection” (CME) last week as suggestive of alien life hanging out in our own cosmic backyard. Specifically, the solar flare washing over Mercury appears to hit another object of comparable size. “It’s cylindrical on either side and has a shape in the middle. It definitely looks like a ship to me, and very obviously, it’s cloaked,” YouTube-user siniXster said in his video commentary on the footage, which has generated hundreds of thousands of views this week.

SAN FRANCISCO — Following an extended quiet period, the sun is ramping up for an era of intense activity, and researchers are prepping to prevent solar storms from disrupting life here on Earth.

For the first time, scientists say, it’s possible to predict how solar storms will hit our planet, much like meteorologists predict how hurricanes will hit a coastline. This early warning allows power grids to adjust for electrical fluctuations, and airlines to switch to alternative communication systems that won’t be affected by the vagaries of space weather.

Yet this forecasting ability is in its nascent stage, experts say, and still leaves a lot of gaps to fill when it comes to space weather.

“We are living in a really, really exciting time right now,” Antti Pulkkinen, a physicist at Catholic University in Washington, D.C., and NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md., said Tuesday (Dec. 6) here at the annual meeting of the American Geophysical Union. “We are really witnessing the emergence of numerical space weather forecasting.” [Stunning Photos of Solar Flares & Sun Storms]

As the World races toward Armageddon, and the Middle East toward the Psalm 83 and Ezekiel 38 wars. Where does America fit in? What choices is this current leadership of the most powerful Nation in the World making? With the recent fall of the leaderships of Egypt and Libya with the backing of this current administration, the Muslim Brotherhood is swiftly on the rise, licking their chops for the death to Israel and the restoration of the Muslim Caliphate to rule not only the Middle East, but the World. Naturally; Christians know they will not totally succeed. Jesus will hear the cries from the Jewish people for their Messiah to return and save them from the Anti-Christ and his armies. Jesus will rise up and with the armies of Heaven answer their Prayers!!! Even so…COME LORD JESUS!
