The Magi were WATCHERS…

Posted: December 24, 2011 in Fast Facts

With December 25th  upon us: the day most Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ the Savior of the world it brings to mind many questions of what that historical night was like. The story rings very familiar to nearly everyone of the journey, no room in the inn, the baby in a  stable, wrapped in the cloth (swaddling clothes) that was probably the very same material used by shepherds in the process of delivering and inspecting lambs in the fields, angels, shepards and the wise men (sometimes referred to as the three wise men).

How awesome it was that Jesus the Great Shepherd chose to be born among shepherds in Bethlehem where lambs for Priestly Sacrifice were raised!

After hearing various accounts of the wise men (Magi) and their role in the Nativity scene, I begin to personally dig and read from others and the Scriptures and begin to see that; Not only were the Magi not there “the night of Jesus’ birth” but they were WATCHING FOR IT.

The Magi were no doubt more than three, possibly as many as a hundred by some accounts.  And they didn’t visit Jesus in the manger. Their visit took place in the fall of the year. Prophetic studies place it around Rosh Hashannah to the Feast of Tabernacles.

Eight days following Jesus’ birth he was circumcised. After forty days they went to Jerusalem, and Mary offered the sin price of two turtledoves. There Jesus was prophesied over by Simeon and Anna declaring him to be the Messiah. Then they returned to Galilee.

And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him” (Luke 2:39,40).

Notice that through this entire experience, the “three wise men” are not there. They are on their way and their journey starts when they see something extraordinary in the heavens, probably around the time of his birth. When they saw “his star in the east” Matt. 2;2, they came to worship Him and pay tribute to a king. The Magi’s home was in the territory of Persia (today’s Iran).

From the 7th century B. C., they were known to have centered their worship about an altar, which burned some sort of “eternal flame.” They apparently saw God as a fiery reality, and the heavenly host of stars and planets.

Here’s where it gets interesting: Thanks to a historical encounter with the Jews in captivity, the ancient Magi had become extremely close to Jewish worship and prophecy. Daniel lived among them as a respected spiritual authority. It looks as though Daniel’s writings were not only read by the Magi, but handed down. His last recorded vision took place in the third year of the reign of Cyrus (536 B. C.) and dealt with the angelic battle between Michael and the Prince of Persia.

Later: after Daniel’s death, he was buried in the territory of Persia. Soon, the captivity of the Jews ended and they returned to Israel. But Daniel’s work and spiritual influence intersected the lives of the Magi. Through him, they knew of the coming Messiah. The ninth chapter talks of both Christ and the antichrist.

The Magi had tremendous influence and were the kingmakers of the ancient world. Consider the effect they must have had when they entered Jerusalem. Picture the horses, the armed cavalry, attendants, cooks, soldiers, wagons and servants as they traveled for months and months to just get there.

“Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him. When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him. And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born. And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the prophet, And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel. Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men, inquired of them diligently what time the star appeared” (Matt 2:1-7). This took place over a year after the birth of Jesus, probably in the month of December.

The Magi possessed power to make and break monarchies and Herod knew it. Herod no doubt was near hysteria by this time worrying of his own possible loss of power and wealth.

Herod meets with the Temple authorities who quoted from Micah and Genesis, naming Bethlehem as the place of the Messiah’s birth. Then in a secret meeting with the Magi, Herod told them to go there and find him. Note that these men from the East were not afraid of Herod’s forces or the Roman army.

 (Matt 2:8-12).

The Magi leave Jerusalem for Bethlehem not a stable or an inn. They arrive at a house, where the young Jesus is now about 15 months old.

Bowing before a King (Jesus), they honor Him with gold, (symbol of the wealth and purity of the Davidic Kingdom). They paid tribute to Him with frankincense, (the priestly Temple offering). They prophesied of His sacrifice with myrrh, (the spice of death and burial).

We really don’t know what else they did while there….A dream from God guides them safely home.

In these Last Days that we live, I find it interesting  that Jesus’ first coming was prophesied by the prophets of old. Also interesting is the fact that the Magi were watching but the Jews were not….He came unto His own but His own received Him not…

I also find it interesting that Jesus’ second coming was prophesied by the prophets of old as well as Jesus Himself. Let us as the Church be watchers for the signs that signal His soon appearing!

I hope you have a wonderful Christmas Season as we celebrate Jesus’ first coming. Be Blessed and Discern the Days as we WATCH for His second coming.  Mitchell

Mysterious planet-sized object spotted near Mercury

By Eric Pfeiffer | The Sideshow – Thu, Dec 8, 2011

A mysterious object is seen following in Mercury’s path

Is a giant, cloaked spaceship orbiting aroundMercury? That’s been the speculation from some corners after a camera onboard NASA’s STEREO spacecraft caught a wave of electronically charged material shooting out from the sun and hitting Mercury.

Theorists have seized on the images captured from the “coronal mass ejection” (CME) last week as suggestive of alien life hanging out in our own cosmic backyard. Specifically, the solar flare washing over Mercury appears to hit another object of comparable size. “It’s cylindrical on either side and has a shape in the middle. It definitely looks like a ship to me, and very obviously, it’s cloaked,” YouTube-user siniXster said in his video commentary on the footage, which has generated hundreds of thousands of views this week.

SAN FRANCISCO — Following an extended quiet period, the sun is ramping up for an era of intense activity, and researchers are prepping to prevent solar storms from disrupting life here on Earth.

For the first time, scientists say, it’s possible to predict how solar storms will hit our planet, much like meteorologists predict how hurricanes will hit a coastline. This early warning allows power grids to adjust for electrical fluctuations, and airlines to switch to alternative communication systems that won’t be affected by the vagaries of space weather.

Yet this forecasting ability is in its nascent stage, experts say, and still leaves a lot of gaps to fill when it comes to space weather.

“We are living in a really, really exciting time right now,” Antti Pulkkinen, a physicist at Catholic University in Washington, D.C., and NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md., said Tuesday (Dec. 6) here at the annual meeting of the American Geophysical Union. “We are really witnessing the emergence of numerical space weather forecasting.” [Stunning Photos of Solar Flares & Sun Storms]

Where Does America Fit In?????

Posted: December 2, 2011 in Great Videos

As the World races toward Armageddon, and the Middle East toward the Psalm 83 and Ezekiel 38 wars. Where does America fit in? What choices is this current leadership of the most powerful Nation in the World making? With the recent fall of the leaderships of Egypt and Libya with the backing of this current administration, the Muslim Brotherhood is swiftly on the rise, licking their chops for the death to Israel and the restoration of the Muslim Caliphate to rule not only the Middle East, but the World. Naturally; Christians know they will not totally succeed. Jesus will hear the cries from the Jewish people for their Messiah to return and save them from the Anti-Christ and his armies. Jesus will rise up and with the armies of Heaven answer their Prayers!!! Even so…COME LORD JESUS!

If you’re a watcher of the End Time Signs the attached video is a must see….If you have 7 minutes, take a look and listen to this evil plan….

As the Day of the Lord approaches ever so quickly with each passing second, I like many of you continue to keep my microscope on Jerusalem the “burdensome stone”, the “cup of trembling” Zechariah 12:1-2, to watch the Scriptures as the Prophet Daniel said: would be revealed at the time of the end.

I’ve always wondered what the possibilities would be for the World, Muslims to even consider allowing a Last Days Temple that the Anti-Christ during the middle of the 7 year tribulation would enter into, cause the abomination of desolation, and set up his World headquarters in to be rebuilt.  Below is a very exciting article by Joel Richardson with some eye opening information and possibilities.

I’ve recently read several times Joel’s latest book (The Islamic Anti-Christ). If you love Prophecy; I highly recomend this book as one of the best I’ve ever read.

Muslim leader wants Temple rebuilt

In a historically unprecedented development, a famous Turkish Muslim leader and a prominent group of Israeli rabbis have joined together on one of their declared goals, to rebuild the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem. Adnan Oktar, who uses the pen name of Harun Yahya, is a controversial but highly influential Muslim intellectual and author with over 65 million of his books in circulation worldwide. Oktar recently met with three representatives from the re-established Jewish Sanhedrin, a group of 71 Orthodox rabbis and scholars from Israel, to discuss how religious Muslims, Jews and Christians can work together.

The objectives of the alliance include waging a joint intellectual and spiritual battle against the worldwide growing tide of irreligiousness, unbelief and immorality. But even more unusual is their agreement with regard to the need to rebuild the Jewish Temple, a structure Oktar refers to as the “Masjid (Mosque)” or the “Palace of Solomon.” An official statement about the meeting has been published on the Sanhedrin’s website. Concluding the statement is the following call:

Out of a sense of collective responsibility for world peace and for all humanity, we have found it timely to call to the world and exclaim that there is a way out for all peoples. It is etched in a call to all humanity: We are all the sons of one father, the descendants of Adam, and all humanity is but a single family. Peace among nations will be achieved through building the House of G-d, where all peoples will serve as foreseen by King Solomon in his prayers at the dedication of the First Holy Temple. Come let us love and respect one another, and love and honor and hold our heavenly Father in awe. Let us establish a house of prayer in His name in order to worship and serve Him together, for the sake of His great compassion. He surely does not want the blood of His creations spilled, but prefers love and peace among all mankind. We pray to the Almighty Creator, that you harken to our Call. Together – each according to his or her ability – we shall work towards the building of the House of Prayer for All Nations on the Temple Mount in peace and mutual understanding.

I was also able to meet recently with Mr. Oktar in Istanbul where he described to me his vision for the rebuilding of Solomon’s Temple:

The Palace of Solomon is a historically important palace, and rebuilding it would be a very wonderful thing. It is something that any Jew, a Christian or a Muslim should welcome with enthusiasm. Every Muslim, every believer will want to return to those days, to experience those days again and, albeit partially, to bring the beauty of those days back to life.

Joel Richardson and Adnan Oktar meet together in Istanbul July 21, 2009.

Oktar has also stated that the Temple of Solomon “will be rebuilt and all believers will worship there in tranquility.” During his meeting with the Sanhedrin rabbis, Oktar expressed his belief that the Temple could be rebuilt in one year:

It could be done in a year at most. It could be built to the same perfection and beauty. The Torah says it was built in 13 years, if I remember correctly. It could be rebuilt in a year in its perfect form.

Since the meeting took place, I have also had the privilege to discuss these things in some detail with Rabbi Abrahamson and Rabbi Hollander, two of the rabbis who met with Mr. Oktar. Regarding the rebuilding of the Temple, Rabbi Hollander explained, “The building of the Temple is one of the stages in the Messianic process.” But another possibility that has been presented is that the Dome of the Rock that sits so prominently on the Temple Mount be used as “a place of prayer for all nations.” This title is found in the book of the Prophet Isaiah.

“This should be fairly simple,” explained Rabbi Hollander. “It is said that the structure of the Dome in Haram E-Sharrif (the Temple Mount) was originally meant by (Caliph) Omar to be a House of Prayer for Jews, and the Al-Aqsa for Muslims.” However, he also explained that religious Jews would not be able to enter the Dome of the Rock unless they had first been ritually cleansed according to Jewish halakhic regulations.

While the prominence of the figures involved in this joint call to rebuild the Jewish Temple is highly noteworthy, other groups have also recently made news with unique vision for the Temple Mount. Yoav Frankel, an Orthodox Jew who has been deeply involved in interfaith dialogue with Muslims, also envisions a shared Temple Mount. This project is called “God’s Holy Mountain” and is an effort of the Interfaith Encounter Association, a group dedicated to promoting peace in the Middle East. What is unique about the God’s Holy Mountain project is that it envisions the day when the Jewish Temple will exist side by side with the Dome of the Rock.

“This vision of religious shrines in peaceful proximity can transform the Temple Mount from a place of contention to its original sacred role as a place of worship shared by Jews, Muslims and Christians,” said Frankel in a Jerusalem Post interview. A colorful painting of this vision features prominently on Frankel’s website.

Muslims, Jews and Christians share the Temple Mount in harmony.

A paper on the God’s Holy Mountain website, written by an unnamed Muslim scholar, asks the following question: “Would a Jewish synagogue erected on the Temple Mount or the Noble Sanctuary make the Blessed Land less blessed? It will certainly add to its blessing because it will invite more voices that exalt and glorify the One God, to whom we all pray.”

The vision of God’s Holy Mountain may not be all that far off. The Obama administration has also suggested that Jerusalem could become an international city that would be shared by peoples from all three Abrahamic faiths.

Even the Knesset is getting in on the discussion. Members of the Israeli Knesset gathered together last week with several Jewish scholars to discuss the role of the Jewish Temple in Jewish life. Referring to those Muslims who do not acknowledge the Jewish history of the Temple Mount, Dr. Mordechai Keidar stated, “The struggle for Jerusalem is not territorial, it is theological. … Do we give in to the Muslim claim that Judaism is no longer relevant?”

While religious Jews have yearned for the rebuilding of the Jewish Temple literally for two millennia, some skeptical left-wing commentators have mocked the notion that this will ever take place. One anti-religion blogger recently claimed that, “most Israelis have no interest in a ‘Third Temple’ and would resent the way such a thing would symbolize the power of an already overbearing religious establishment.” He then mocked the idea as something that only exists “on the outer fringes in the Israel of the real world” while any Christian expectation of a future Temple is mere “Christian fundamentalist fantasy.” Yet, according to a recent poll conducted for Ynet News and the Gesher organization, over two-thirds of the Israeli public desires to see the Jewish Temple rebuilt, including almost half of the non-religious. According to Ynet News, 64 percent of those questioned responded favorably to the idea of rebuilding the Temple, while 36 percent were not in favor of such a project:

An analysis of the answers showed that not only the ultra-Orthodox and the religious look forward to the rebuilding of the Temple (100 percent and 97 percent respectively), but also the traditional public (91 percent) and many seculars – 47 percent.

Meanwhile, the work of the Temple Institute, a group that has openly dedicated itself for years to rebuilding the Jewish Temple goes on. They have already created many of the most significant priestly utensils and pieces of furniture necessary for the Temple once it is ready. In a recent video release, entitled “Dare to Dream / Dare to Build,” several on-the-street interviews reveal the passion for the Temple that are held by many average Israelis. One young man expressed his belief that the building of the Jewish Temple “will bring harmony, some tranquility in the world, some peace.” Another women joyfully states, “The entire purpose of creation is that we build the Holy Temple.”

He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s Temple, proclaiming himself to be God. – 2 Thessalonians 2:4The suggestion of rebuilding the Jewish Temple is deeply significant to Christians, particularly those who are students of Bible prophecy. According to the Bible, an imposter messiah known as the Antichrist will someday invade the land of Israel and “set himself up” in the “God’s Temple.” The Apostle Paul lays this out quite clearly:

As a result, many Christians who understand the biblical teaching regarding the last days take note of this news with a deep measure of caution and trepidation.

Another serious cause for concern is the fact that, according to Islamic sacred tradition, the Mahdi, Islam’s primary messiah figure, will one day invade the land of Israel and establish his seat of authority on the Temple Mount. According to one sacred tradition, an Islamic army will come from Iran and conquer Jerusalem:

(Armies carrying) black flags will come from Khurasan (Iran). No power will be able to stop them and they will finally reach Eela (Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem) where they will erect their flags. – Sunan Al-Tirmidhi

Commenting on this particular tradition, Egyptian authors Muhammad ibn Izzat and Muhammd ‘Arif comment:

The Mahdi will be victorious and eradicate those pigs and dogs. … Jerusalem will be the location of the rightly guided caliphate and the center of Islamic rule, which will be headed by Imam al-Mahdi. … That will abolish the leadership of the Jews.

As a Christian theologian who is well-versed in these matters, I expressed the reasons for my caution to the Sanhedrin rabbis. But in the end, while all three Abrahamic religions do share many common beliefs and characteristics, many differences remain. While the prophecies of the Bible and the dark nature of some of the Islamic traditions cause me deep unease, from an Orthodox Jewish perspective, my apprehension is entirely unnecessary.

Says Rabbi Abrahamson, “There is a Jewish teaching, referring to the destruction of the Temple in 70 A.D. that says, ‘Had the nations of the world known how much they benefit and are blessed by the Holy Temple they would have surrounded it with legions of armies to protect it from any harm.’”

Jewish-Muslim coalition calls for rebuilt Temple

Phoenix Biblical Prophecy Examiner

Oktar and the Jewish Sanhedrin

Last month, a historic meeting took place between members of the Jewish Sanhedrin (the ruling judicial body of the Jewish Faith) and a well-known Turkish Muslim Leader, Adnan Oktar, who uses the psuedonym,Harun Yahya. One of their stated goals was to “wag[e] a joint intellectual and spiritual battle against the worldwide growing tide of irreligiousness, unbelief and immorality,” according to a World Net Daily report. But even more interesting than this unprecedented coalition was their mutual desire to rebuild the Jewish Temple. They believe that a rebuilt temple can help bring the three Abrahamic faiths (Jews, Christians, and Muslims) together in peace. Furthermore, Oktar claims that this temple could be rebuilt within one year!

In a statement posted on their website, Sanhedrin.org, the members of the Sanhedrin, along with Adnan Oktar, set forth in further detail their expectations and objectives of their plan for peaceful co-existence. In an eye-catching statment in a section entitled, “Plan for Peace” the Sanhedrin state,

Out of a sense of collective responsibility for world peace and for all humanity we have found it timely to call to the World and exclaim that there is a way out for all peoples. Together – each according to his or her ability - we shall work towards the building of the House of Prayer for All Nations on the Temple Mount in peace and mutual understanding.” (emphasis added).

In Mr. Oktar’s section of the declaration, he talks a lot about the need for peace among the Jews and Muslims and asserts that the Turkish Islamic Union can help bring about that peace. He states that “the establishment of this union under Turkish leadership is essential for the salvation of the Middle East and the whole world…If such a union is established, then by Allah’s leave Muslims, Jews and Christians will all be at ease. Conflict and fighting will come to a complete end. Once the Turkish-Islamic Union is founded, Jews will be able to live freely in those lands without the need for walls.” (emphasis added)

Oktar’s last couple of statements seem eerily similar to the passage found in Ezekiel 38, where the LORD is speaking to Gog [modern day Russia] and the nations in alliance with it, one of which happens to be the nation of Turkey.

In future years you will invade a land that has recovered from war, whose people were gathered from many nations to the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate. They had been brought out from the nations, and now all of them live in safety…You will say, “I will invade a land of unwalled villages; I will attack a peaceful and unsuspecting people—all of them living without walls and without gates and bars.” (emphasis added)

Second Jewish Temple

It is interesting to note that the Sanhedrin and Oktar believe the Temple will be a way to bring peace, not only the Middle East region, but also to the world. According to the Bible, their plan to rebuild the Temple and bring peace to the region will be successful. Several passages in the Bible (2Thessalonians 2:4Daniel 9:27Matthew 24:15Revelation 11:1) imply that the temple will be functioning during the end times and will be the place where the Anti-Christ sets himself up to be worshipped as God, but not before he brings a psuedo-peace (1 Thessalonians 5:3) to the Middle East region. It appears that Adnan Oktar and the Jewish Sanhedrin are on their way to fulfilling Bible prophecy!

All-American or Not?????

Posted: November 15, 2011 in No Fluff Stuff

I must admit; I just had to watch the Premiere of All-American Muslim Sunday night to see the spin, truth, or lie. Just what could a television program have to do with the Last Days or Prophecy for that matter? Somehow, in the back of my mind I knew what the enemy was up to.

I have many Muslim friends / customers I deal with on a daily basis through my business. Right off the bat let me say that I love them, and talk, and witness to them at every opportunity. My wish is that none would perish. I tell them how they can have a PERSONAL  relationship with God through His only begotten Son Jesus Christ.

Islam teaches that: There is no God but Allah and Mohamed is his messenger. I have yet to have one convert that I know of. They watch me, question me, my beliefs etc….and I have even lost customers for my stand for Israel and God’s chosen people the Jews. It’s one of the hardest things I suppose I have ever tried to do: Show them by their own writings and beliefs that they line up perfectly with the writings of not only the Old Testament but also the New and that the religion of Islam will be the BEAST system of the Day of the Lord and their soon coming last days Prophet the Mahdi is none other than the Biblical Anti-Christ posessed by Satan. Their returning Jesus “Isa” is none other than the False Prophet pointing man to  the Anti-Christ. Discussions at times are in depth and get very heated. I’m well aware that many Christians don’t agree with my views and they see Islam as just another of thousands of religions.

All-American Muslim cuts to the chase with an American “Jeff” undergoing conversion to Islam. While the show tries to present members of its Dearborn Muslim families as individuals and non-conformists, Jeff, an Irish-American who wants to marry in, must convert and submit to Islam to be able to marry his Muslim bride.

Note; Muslim men can marry “non Muslim women” I have several customers that have married an American woman and have a Muslim wife or wives back in their home country. Muslim woman can not marry a non Muslim man. Jeff meets his soon to be wife’s father to express his wishes to convert to Islam so he can marry his daughter. His soon to be father in law says that converting to Islam is not denying anything but just adding to what he has. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Jeff pronounces the Shahada, proclaiming that there is no god but Allah and Mohamed is his messenger turning his back on his Catholic faith, are viewers supposed to celebrate? How can Jeff if he is a true Christian and believer in Jesus as the Christ, the Son of God, the way the truth the life all of a sudden stop believing that, and now believe Jesus was just a good prophet, just a man, and now Mohamed is God’s messenger and that God has no Son? It brings to mind I John 2:22, Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is anti-christ, that denieth the Father and the Son. I John 4:3, And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of anti-christ, whereof you have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

Jeff says; it was easy to convert to Islam. II Peter 2:1, But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. What the show does not mention is that while it is very easy to convert to Islam, it is quite difficult to leave. Having converted on a nationally televised event, should Jeff leave it will be considered apostasy which carries a death sentence. It’s easy to play “So You Want to be a Muslim”, so long as you don’t mind choosing between losing your freedom of choice… or your life. Naturally I don’t know Jeff, if this is a stunt, or what will transpire in the days to come.

All-American Muslim goes out of their way to convince you that Islam is beautiful, peaceful, and American. Just good ordinary people who submit to Allah and wear Hijabs in order to be closer to Allah. When we have former Presidents, national leaders, congressman, senators, many religious organizations, and this current administration all trying to paint a wonderful picture of Islam, no wonder people are converting by the droves to the fastest growing religion in the World.

The more All-American Muslim tries to “defuse stereotypes” the more we’re reminded of the true status of women under Islam. Every time All-American Muslim insists on how free and liberated Muslim women are, it’s a lie that takes place under the shadow of a Muslim world where women have very few rights. The Prophet Daniel saw an end time leader / system / religion / government that would change laws, kill Christians and Jews, speak against the most high God, will not regard the rights of women, will honor a god of war just to name a few things Daniel 7:25, 11:36-28.

Fouad Zaban, the local high school football coach switches the team to night practice in order to accommodate the Ramadan fast “of the daylight hours”, there’s no discussion about the separation of mosque and state! Wheres the out cry of the liberals???

Before the big game: The new show focuses on Fordson High School, which is 95 per cent Muslim

In all its scenes of Muslims running businesses, working out or shopping for clothes, the lesson we are supposed to take away is that we have nothing to worry about because they are ordinary people just like us. But the issue is not about Muslims. It is about Islam.

There was a time when TLC in all their other shows tried to make Americans seem as out of touch, or as weird as possible. Now in  All-American Muslim TLC tries to make a religion which believes in world domination by the sword of Allah, and the inferiority of women, seem normal.

As easy as it would be to convert; John, In the book of Revelation 20:4, saw those that did not convert, but witnessed for Jesus and the Word of God. They were beheaded, and they lived and reigned with Christ 1000 years. I’ve made my decision…..how about you????
